D., bringing in an additional touch of romanticism, have all made the town a preferred resort for many tourists. Here you can relish the unique combination of sea, river and forest: you can bathe in the crystal clear sea water and go fishing in the most clean of all the rivers in Bulgaria – the Veleka river. The village in fact resides in the heart of an unique nature reserve, encompassing the basins of the Veleka and Rezovska rivers, the cut in romantic bays Bulgarian Black Sea coast and the forested tops of the Strandzha mountain. Here the wind and the smell of the sea, the fresh mountainous coolness of the Strandzha mountain, swarming in game and rare birds in the oak and beech forests, and the eternally tranquil waters of the Veleka river all meet. The town of Ahtopol is situated 87 kilometres to the south of the town of Bourgas and about 480 kilometres to the south-east of the capital city of Sofia. It is a sea resort, sited on a rocky peninsula at the foot of the Strandzha mountain. Here the sunny days are more and the temperature of the water is higher, than the rest of the Bulgarian Black Sea coastline. The beach line is long 2 kilometres. For people, seeking quiet rest with less or no entertainments, this town is just the right answer. Known to the ancient Greeks as Agatopolis, today the town is a quiet, tucked away place, very popular with Bulgarians, Czechs, Slovaks, Russians and Macedonians, coming for a rest. Even the plethora of new building sites along the “Kraymorska” seaside street cannot break the tranquillity, emanating from the fishing boats, lazily patrolling to and fro in the tiny post\'s bay. The Dyuni resort is a modern one, situated 40 kilometres to the south of the town Bourgas near the sea, at a big bay. The beach is 4,5 kilometres long with width of more than 100 metres, covered with fine sands and furrowed by natural dunes. The coast, where the resort settlement sites, is hilly, surrounded by forests and studded with tiny villas of typical Bulgarian Revival architecture. As a set for the complex the natural landmarks of the place – the dunes and the abundance of greenery, are used. The complex is a mixture of several architectural styles, complimenting each other and as a whole depicting the Mediterranean and typical Bulgarian atmosphere. Luxurious and expensive, especially for the individual tourists, the Dyuni resort offers plethora of entertainments and wonderful conditions for relaxation. At the north end of the complex there is a quay, which forms a quiet and calm bay, especially convenient for windsurfing and yachting. The complex has several swimming pools, seven tennis courts, and numerous facilities and services. To the south of the Dyuni resort is situated the swamp “Alepu”, home to local and migrating fauna of all kinds. A little further from the swamp is the so called Zmiysky (or Snake's in English) island, best known for the cactuses, which have spread and got acclimatized there some 60 years ago. The national nature park “Ropotamo” is about 10 kilometres from there. It is most famous for its water lilies. The village of Chernomoretz is situated 25 kilometres away from the town of Bourgas and only 9 kilometres away from the ancient town of Sozopol. The resort settlement boasts four beach stripes, each of them differing greatly from the others. Here you can find lonely tranquil beaches as well as bustling ones. The high temperatures of the sea and the air give you the option to enjoy the seaside till late in the afternoon. The unique position of the resort offers one the opportunity to enjoy the beach of the calm north bay with unbelievable cliffs and to move just 1,5 kilometres to the beach of the camping site “Gradina”, where the bay is particularly suitable for windsurfers and other lovers of extreme sea sports and thrills. The rocky coast in the eastern part of the settlement is the perfect place for nudists, cliff jumpers and anglers. The resort of Chernomoretz boasts numerous cafés, sited in tiers along the coast or the so called “trading avenue”, some even nestled in the greenery of a typical rural court. The Strandzha region is a fascinating part of Bulgaria. Through it meander the two cleanest rivers of Bulgaria – the Veleka and Resovska rivers. In the north-eastern part of the Strandzha mountain are nestled small villages like Novo Panicharevo and Yasna Polyana, in the western part – the village of Indzhe Voivoda, and to the south in the direction of the town of Malko Turnovo - the village of Brashlyan. The whole region possesses unique opportunities to foster the development of rural tourism, especially considering its old houses and virgin nature.

This tendency is expected to accelerate in the near future. Real estate investment has produced a plentiful supply of modern offices at very competitive costs. The past few years a lot of foreigners decide to invest their money in Bulgarian properties. As you have probably noticed the costumers are interested not only in estates located near the beautiful ski resorts scattered across the mountains that dominate the Bulgarian interior but they are also attracted by the sandy beaches of the Black Sea coast. According to latest articles and reports in some magazines Bulgaria is placed to one of the first places of destinations of interest for foreign developers and costumers. The harmonization of Bulgarian legislation with that of the European Union means that the actual process of a real estate transaction in Bulgaria is not that much different now to the procedure that exists in other European countries. In the past few years there is a continuing flurry of building activity in most Black sea resorts, the same tendency can be also seen in ski resorts like Borovets and Bansko. The renovation of rural houses and buildings is very popular in the cities located in the inner parts of the country. The most wanted destination for buying a property are the front lines of Black Sea towns and resorts like Varna, Sunny Beach and Nessebar, also mountain houses and cottages in ski resorts like Pamporovo and Bansko.
